Youth Employment Bootcamp

I just wanted to send you the information about a brand new program for Youth running out of the Tong Louie YMCA.

This federally funded Skills Link program is ideal for recent graduates or youth who have not completed high school and have either left, or are about to leave the school system. This is a 16-week program with a 4-week classroom component and a 12-week work experience. Youth receive a training wage for the classroom component and their employers receive a wage subsidy during their work experience.

Program Eligibility:

• Between the ages of 15-30

• Unemployed, not attending regular full-time school (Learning Centres & Distance Ed ok)

• Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Refugee

• Eligible to work in Canada

• Not in receipt of EI benefits
