Application Deadlines
While the application deadline for Limited Intake programs has passed, we have extended the deadline for select Limited Intake programs; an up-to-date list of extended application deadlines can be found at
Students applying to Open Intake programs may do so until August 1, 2020, but should note that offer letters have already gone out to students who applied before the March 1 early application deadline, so we encourage all prospective students to apply as soon as possible in order to receive priority registration.

Scholarships & Awards
The deadline to apply for Entrance Scholarships for Fall 2020 is April 6, 2020.
Scholarship applications are now available for students intending to begin their studies in January 2021.

Future Business Leaders Conference May 1-2, 2020:
KPU is hosting a two-day business conference for Grade 11/12 high school students. Winners of the competition will be given an Entrance Scholarship to KPU’s School of Business and will be crowned the Future Business Leaders of 2020. High school business departments will also receive monetary awards if their students place in the top 3 of the competition. To register a student group: (space is limited).

BC School Trustees Association Scholarships for Student Citizenship
Must have demonstrated amongst other attributes, good work ethic and tenacity in achieving their goals. Of particular interest are students who are of strong character who are working hard to achieve success but have to overcome a setback or disadvantage in doing so.Candidates must be in good academic standing, have applied and/or be enrolled in or accepted to a post-secondary institution, trade institute or college.

Criteria is demonstrated financial need. It is expected that the main funding is in place and every effort through normal channels available to students to access funds has been made.

BCCPAC Educational Award
Discover another region of Canada while learning French. Enjoy 5 weeks of learning, adventure, friendship and discovery.
Be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant, plan to register as a full-time student in September of the upcoming school year at a recognized University, Community College, Technical Institute or other postsecondary institution for advanced learning, demonstrate high ideals and qualities of citizenship, and not have previously received a bursary from the Hal Rogers Endowment Fund.

Schulich Leader Scholarship
A Canadian citizen or permanent resident (landed immigrant) at the time of writing their provincial exams. A B.C. resident in their graduating year with graduation to occur by August 31. Maintaining a B average in all Grade 11 and 12 courses required for graduation, with no more than one Grade 12 mark at a C+ level. Five-Week French –Language Bursary Program
For students enrolling in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) areas of study at a participating Canadian university in fall. One nomination only to represent each school across Canada
Three Scholarships available: a high school student (grade 12) planning on pursuing post-secondary studies upon graduation in an engineering or technology related field of study. A new immigrant (max. of 1 year since arrival to Canada) pursuing postsecondary studies in an engineering holarship/
Optimist International Essay Contest
The award could be put towards an educational endeavour, engagement in sports, or investment in a travel experience – all pursuits that would have resonated with Stacey. Award recipients are expected to write a reflection on the impact of the funding on their life, due within one year of the distribution of funds.

Recipients must maintain a satisfactory academic standing and continued involvement in voluntary humanitarian and community work. Recipients are selected for their dedication to the humanitarian ideals of Terry Fox, their volunteer experience, their courage in overcoming obstacles, their participation in sport, fitness and community service and their academic standing.

Applications for the Partners 36 Scholarships will be available on line February 1, 2020.  ***Coast Capital Youth Get It Education Awards applications will be available late February 2020.
Completed applications should be submitted to the Scholarship Coordinator at your school by the due date designated by your school.  This is usually anytime between February 1st and April 15th.   Click here to view a summary of the scholarship criteria.  Updates will be posted therefore be sure to check back often.

SASSY Awards: Call for Nominations

Recognizing Exceptional Youth

City of Surrey and Semiahmoo Rotary Club present SASSY Awards to acknowledge and celebrate young leaders in arts and culture, community service, environment, overcoming adversity, international service and sport and recreation. Seven award recipients receive $1,000 plus $500 for a charity of their choice. Nominate a young person between the ages 15–21 or offer to provide a reference letter. Submissions are due by February 26.

Beaverbrook Vimy Prize

Beaverbrook Vimy Prize
The Vimy Foundation’s premiere educational program, the Beaverbrook Vimy Prize, is a prestigious two-week-long learning experience during which exceptional youth, 15-17 years of age, study the interwoven First and Second World War history of Canada, Great Britain, and France.
Scheduled for August 8-20, 2020 in Belgium and France, students will attend lectures, visit former battlefields, trenches and underground tunnels, as well as visit museums and cemeteries, and explore monuments such as the Canadian National Vimy Memorial.  Canadian, British, and French prize recipients will also participate in commemorative ceremonies and meet a few of the remaining veterans and members of the French Resistance.
