Girls Exploring Physics presents free workshops for girls in Grades 9 and 10 held at the SFU Burnaby campus. These workshops include two hands-on activity sessions in physics. They also include a tour of the new Trottier astronomical observatory and a discussion of the career opportunities available to students who study physics at the university level. Participants will have a chance to interact informally with women physics faculty and students from SFU throughout the workshop and during the free pizza lunch.

We’re looking for emerging young leaders who want to make an impact on youth in their community to join our Youth Get It Community Councils. These councils have the unique role of making investment decisions for Coast Capital’s Community Investment Grants program. Each council is made up of four Coast Capital Savings employee representatives and 4 community representatives.
We’re looking for youth who:
- are 18-30 years of age at time of application
- live in the region they are applying for: Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley or Vancouver Island
- bring knowledge and/or experience specifically related to our youth-focused funding areas: Financial Empowerment, Educational Success and Health Minds.
